Moderate to heavy rainfall on Wednesday may cause minor flooding in Bexar County, according to the National Weather Service.
The county is expected to receive between 1 and 2 inches of rain between Wednesday and Thursday morning. Some isolated areas east of U.S. 281 may receive up to 3 inches of rain.
The NWS has issued a flash flood watch until 9 p.m. on Wednesday for several counties in South Central Texas along the Interstate 35 corridor and north of Interstate 10.

Due to saturated soil from recent rainfall in Bexar County, the NWS predicts Wednesday’s showers could cause minor flooding of low water crossings and elevated flows along creeks and streams.
“As the rainfall from Wednesday drains into local creeks and streams elevated water levels in these drainage areas could continue to be a hazard for the morning commute on Thursday,” reads a statement from the NWS.
The Hill Country and Edwards Plateau face the possibility of light freezing rain Wednesday and Thursday morning. Ice accumulations are expected to be light.
